The Ravens' pre-season wraps up, and Kuney breaks down what he liked and did not like from the team under the brand new regime. Can the Ravens get back to form, or will this be another rough year in Charm City? The Nationals are dragging on to the finish line like they're chained to anchor, but some good things are still happening in DC. 
In addition, a fresh sad stat that will make any football fan laugh without feeling like they're telling a 30 year old joke, and the National Spotlight will make you wonder what is going on in California.

Kuney returns from another hiatus to find A LOT of new stuff to discuss! The Ravens have wrapped up training camp, and are ready to take on the wrong birds in their first pre-season game under a revamped coaching staff. Plus, Zay Flowers got PAID!!$$ 
The Nationals were sellers at the trade deadline (shocker), but the pieces they received have already started performing well as the Nats look to end the season on a high note. Littell and Mikolas are gone, but new blood is being brought up from the farm system. 
In addition, two sad stats are brought this week, and a headline that will make all Detroit sports fans...happy??

The pick is IN! The Washington Nationals have selected Texas A&M 2B Chris Hacopian, from Gaithersburg, MD, a 2x All-Big 10 Athlete with THE University of Maryland. Kuney is no scouting expert, but he is intrigued by the player; on the contrary, he is consistently pissed off by the bullpen the Nats continuously trot out.
THE GREAT 8 IS BACK!! The Capitals and Wizards have been making moves. Lots of new faces in Capital One Arena this offseason including former Blue Jackets Captain Boone Jenner and New York Knicks Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing (as a coach, not a player). Plus, a sad stat that pokes fun at the Redskins (it's never ending), and some a listener hot take regarding the Indianapolis Colts.

Kuney returns after an aggravating absence (lots of alliteration today) to primarily discuss headlines surrounding the NHL and NBA drafts. The Ravens are enjoying their month long break until training camp, the Caps are making money moves to lure Ovechkin back, and the Wizards did something right in taking the best player at number 1 overall.

IT'S LOTTERY SEASON!! Kuney breaks down the results of the NHL and NBA draft lotteries, and how they affect the Capitals and the Wizards (we're back!). The Capitals made a bit of a head-scratching re-sign, but they did bring in a new Assistant Coach to fill a lackluster void. The Ravens' schedule has been announced, and it will be quite the test for a rookie Head Coach.

The Ravens concluded their draft while the Capitals prepare for theirs. Kuney gives analysis on the Ravens draft picks, and gives best and worst case scenarios for the Capitals positioning in the draft. Logan Thompson was absolutely robbed in the Vezina voting, but was he really going to beat out Vasilevskiy? 
Kuney reflects on his first round picks in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and he makes his predictions for the second round as all but one matchup has been confirmed. We'll see if he goes 4/4. Plus, a sad rant on the most overrated sports city in all the 4 major sports, and an interesting hot take about goaltending.

The Ravens are one week away from the draft, and there is some debate on who the Ravens should take. Kuney breaks that down as well as the Ravens (and Skins) new uniforms, which he surprisingly loves! The Capitals season is officially over, but the question is will Ovi comeback? We do have two picks in the first round.

The Capitals have fallen to the point where they became sellers at the deadline, but hey! at least they got good value in return. The Ravens swung and missed at Maxx Crosby, but made up for it by signing veteran DE Trey Hendrickson; unfortunately, the Ravens missed out on retaining any of our UFA's.
